April Fool's Day

Well, I wanted to title this post, "We're coming home!" and then put "April Fools" as the first line. However, my wife, who is wiser than I am, advised against it.
This morning we found out that basically the same set back with Sophie on Sunday was going on with Mattie today. She's having a little harder time breathing so they turned her O2 up did an xray which looked a little cloudy. Not a big set back, just one of the things that happens with preemies. We are also waiting for a picture of her heart in the morning because they heard a heart murmur again this morning. Amber and I are convinced she just didn't want to keep moving ahead without her sister.

I'm told that people panic when I don't post every day. I promise I try to as often as I can, but we have to come to the hospital to get on the internet...and most of the time we'd rather be with the girls than on the internet. :) Your concern touches all four of us and we are very thankful for it. To put your mind at ease on the days I can't update, I promise that if there is an emergency or something drastically gone wrong, I'll post immediately so you can start praying. In fact, I'd hate to miss out on those prayers in the moment. So if you don't hear from us, just assume all is well.

Hope you enjoy the pics. You probably quit reading as soon as we started posting pics, but I'm long winded, so I'll type just the same. Amber has been pestering me to put the picture of the dresses from their Aunt Lyndi up for about a week now. I've fought as long as I could and I lost the battle. The first picture is for Livvie.

  1. I love the dresses! My favorite picture is the one that has her (not sure which baby) arm over her face. It's as if she is saying Dad enough with the pictures already!!! LOL Don't listen to her... You take as many pictures as you can because we love seeing them and believe me they change so quickly you have to almost take pictures daily to keep up!!! Love you guys!

  3. Josh, Thank you so much for taking the time to keep us all updated. I know it takes time away from those precious girls but it does help us all keep connected and know what specifics to pray for. We are praying daily for all four of you.
    Love, love, love,

  4. Love the pictures! All the "followers" of the blog do appreciate it and I'm sure you'll look back and be glad you did it too! You don't know me, but I know you and the Bowmans! Praying every day for those beautiful babies and their parents.

I talked w/ our daughter in Houston this morning. She is very interested in reading your blog since her family can relate to everything. She is also ging to talk w/the lady at church to see if they have the lullaby tape in a cd. Maybe they have updated things. The nurses played the tapes constantly when T & D were not there to talk w/ the boys, and the docs were all for it. Anything to help these little ones grown and mature. Love you, BJ and Sharon

  6. I know you two must be physically and emotionally drained, and we know God is helping you through every minute. You are a great example to all of us and we thank God for the progress of Sophie and Maddie. I know you probably don't like asking like most of us, but sometime if you would, post some things that we could help you with. we know you probably need help with food, but if there is anything you would like to have that we could bring you, we'd love to be able to help! We love you, Amber and Josh!
